(we won't tell them all or it will get booked up) a thoroughly enjoyable valentine break away in a gorgeous part of dumfries and galloway. we will very happily book again. thank you. d & g feb-2018 excellent cottage and great value. got exactly what i wanted from this trip. will be back. c feb-2018 the spinney is spacious but cosy with central heating and option of roaring log fire. wood provided too!!the cottage is immaculately clean with modern bathrooms and kitchen. comfy sofas. enclosed safe garden everything is there that you could.possibly need from tin foil to dish washer tablets. the hosts haven't left anything out that you could possibly need. you couldn't ask for more. we went to the pub 5mins along the road and had great crack with the locals the food is fab there too. great base for visiting port patrick newton stewart and the isle of whithorn. so peaceful and quiet get away. we've come home in love with the area and wish we owned the spinney s & c feb-2-18 lovely quiet location. enjoyed walks north and south. cosy fire at the harbour inn and lively chat. good location if you are on a lisa hooper linocut course thanxx j & w jan-2018 thank you again for another warm welcome at the spinney. we love this cottage and the area....thank you again - much appreciated j h & j sept-2015 spacious and airy cottage with a lovely walk (with the dogs) just a few steps away. even had warm sunny weather-a couple of showers in the evening and overnight. enjoyed sitting in the sun-trap garden. j & m sept-2015 nice cosy cottage, the best one we have ever had in scotland. we had nice weather, great area. d p s s & s aug-2015 we've had a really enjoyable few days here in this beautiful place. we feel we have recharged our batteries ready for the business of work ahead for us. we managed to visit various places ..(too many to mention here). the locals are very friendly and welcoming. we have been truly blessed especially as the weather has been amazing too. this was all enhanced having a lovely cottage to come back to each day. we really enjoyed the experience... we will be recommending it to our friends and family. r j & h aug-2015 had a lovely week exploring this lovely part of the country.. dundreggan abbey worth a visit.. lots of castles etc in various states of ruin, all great atmospheric. mull of galloway lighthouse recommended for scenery and cakes! house fantastic and many thanks for the wine and shortbread much appreciated and lovely welcome. a k l & k we had a lovely relaxing holiday. cottage nice and clean. everything you need. thank you for the biscuits & wine. it was a lovely thought as was the flowers. g a i & l aug-2015 back again, weather has not been very good, but max still enjoyed his walks on beach. thank you for wine & biscuits. will be back next year. bought paints with me so sat in conservatory when wet and finished my painting m, r & m aug-2015 lovely time as usual -
